Random Idea...

Hey all, it's been quite awhile since I've updated here, I've been pretty busy. (And lazy.) lol
Well, I've been wanting to write a book forever, whether it be children's, a novel, or inspirational...
But I've had no idea how to go about it, and no idea what to write about. ANyone have any ideas? I actually had an idea to write abook for people who are getting married young. Write a chapter on how to deal with family, how to deal with costs of the wedding, deal with life afterwards...
But my problem with that is that Terry and I aren't dealing with some of this stuff on our own.. so, I don't know~ Like I said, it's only an idea.
I've wanted to write a book since I was little..
The only Idea I have had, and only just tried to start is writing about a girl who finds herself pregnant, with a boyfriend who dumped her, raising her little brother, the only immediate family member survived out of a house fire. But for some reason, even though I think it could be good, I'm holding myself back on writing it.
Okay, I'm done rambling! Thanx ahead for your input!!

As a writer, the best advice I can give you is to write from your heart, and as soon as you can. Don't write something because you think it might be good, write it because you want to, because if you don't write it, you feel like you're going to explode.

That's how I write, and aside from writer's block occasionally, it's a pretty good method.

Stephen King's "On Writing" is a good place to go for writing advice. Also, you should get the Little, Brown Writing Handbook...
Good luck!
